Biography
Paula Baldocchi currently resides in Chicago, Illinois. Paula has been painting and drawing her entire life and received a BFA degree in Fine Art/ Painting and Art History from Columbia College in Chicago Illinois. Paula specialized in Pre - Columbian Mesoamerican art and then later the Mexican Muralist Movement .
Paula went on to earn a Master's Degree in Science in Special Education with an emphasis on Brain Based Disabilities and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from Dominican University (High Honors). She built a decorated second career as an urban special educator in Chicago. The last two years Paula has been working on blending her two careers and focusing on creative expression and movement as therapy for young adults and teens. Paula recently successfully completed a teacher training course and is now a certified yoga and meditation teacher and social emotional learning facilitator.
Day to day Paula is a working fine artist focusing on portrait commissions and is showing her own body of work while working with art and movement as therapy and intervention for teens and young adults who struggle emotionally, academically and behaviorally.
